DETROIT -- Just when it appeared things were falling apart for the streaking Detroit Pistons, Reggie Jackson tossed them a lifeline.

Jackson drilled two 3-pointers in the final minute, lifting the Pistons to their fourth straight win, 111-104 over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday at Little Caesars Arena.

Jackson finished with 22 points and six assists for the Pistons (9-3), who gave away a 19-point lead before regaining control.

Detroit outscored the Hawks 11-4 in the last 52.5 seconds.

"Reggie Jackson just made some big plays for our team tonight," said Avery Bradley, Jackson's backcourt partner. "Player of the game, to me. He didn't make some threes at the beginning of the game. For him to have the guts to be able to take those shots at the end of the game says a lot about him and says a lot about us as a team."

Jackson, who also made two free throws in the closing seconds, would have preferred a less suspenseful ending.

"I love being up and winning," he said. "I love being up with an easy game. I'm not going to lie. But I don't mind (taking those shots). I'm not afraid of it."

Andre Drummond had 16 points, 20 rebounds and a career-high seven assists for Detroit. Bradley supplied 20 points and Tobias Harris contributed 16 points and eight rebounds. Ish Smith led Pistons reserves with 17 points and five assists.

Detroit coach Stan Van Gundy lamented his team's poor second-half performance as the Hawks scored 63 points while the Pistons committed 11 turnovers.

"They totally outplayed us in the second half," Van Gundy said. "They end up with 58 points in the paint, 36 in the second half. We offered very little resistance. We turned the ball over. Look, they dominated us. But because we played a great second quarter and because Reggie made two huge shots, we were able to get away with a win."

Kent Bazemore tallied 22 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Hawks (2-10). Dennis Schroder recorded 17 points and a season-high 11 assists, John Collins tossed in 16 points and eight rebounds, Dewayne Dedmon added 13 points and nine rebounds and Marco Belinelli chipped in 14 points.

"Hopefully, we can build off the second half, the way we played," Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said. "It's really how we need to play for the whole game. Not good enough in the first half and we dug ourselves a hole."

Bazemore noticed the difference after the break.

"We played with a lot more intensity," he said. "We started the game kind of slow, and that's been our Achilles heel to start the season -- get in a hole and fight our way back. That's our identity. We just have to smarten up."

The Hawks, who trailed by 16 at the break, began the second half with an 18-7 run to creep back into the game. Bazemore finished off the run with a layup, pulling Atlanta within 64-59.

Detroit's lead was 76-69 heading into the fourth.

Bazemore's 3-pointer from the top of the key and another from the wing tied it at 94 with 3:49 left.

The teams traded scores until Jackson's 3 with 52.3 seconds left put the Pistons on top 103-100. Following Belinelli's miss, Bradley made a free throw and collected the rebound after missing the second try. Jackson then drilled another 3-pointer to clinch the win.

The Pistons finished the first half on a 25-10 run to gain a 57-41 halftime lead.

Drummond reached his career high in assists before halftime, dishing out six. His previous best was five, which he reached twice.

NOTES: Detroit starting SF Stanley Johnson (strained right hip flexor) missed his second consecutive game. PF Jon Leuer (left ankle sprain) was sidelined for the fourth straight contest. ... The Hawks played without PFs Ersan Ilyasova (bone bruise, left knee) and Mike Muscala (left ankle sprain). ... Pistons C Andre Drummond is the third player since the 1978-79 season to grab 12 or more rebounds in each of the first 12 games. He joins Moses Malone (1978-79) and Kevin Love (2011-12). ... Detroit second-year PF Henry Ellenson has not played in four straight games. "He was playing well," coach Stan Van Gundy said. "It's just that AT (Anthony Tolliver) had some really strong performances and moved ahead of him in the rotation."
