ATLANTA -- Guard Tim Hardaway Jr. sparked Atlanta's productive bench with a game-high 20 points and helped the Hawks roll to a 117-96 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night at Philips Arena.

The reserves scored 20 of their combined 53 points in the second quarter, seven of those from Hardaway, to help the Hawks change the direction of the game and post their fourth straight win.

Hardaway even shook off an injury. He went to the locker room with a right hip contusion with four minutes left in the third quarter but returned midway in the fourth quarter to hit two 3-pointers and help the Hawks hold off the upset-minded Sixers.

Atlanta (7-2) was led in scoring by Kent Bazemore with 17 points. Dennis Schroder added 16 points and eight assists and Kyle Korver scored 14. Dwight Howard had 10 points and 11 rebounds, his seventh double-double this season.

The Atlanta bench also got a season-high 13 points and eight rebounds from Kris Humphries and nine points and six assists from Malcolm Delaney.

Philadelphia (1-8) got 18 points and six rebounds from Jahlil Okafor, and 13 points and four assists from Sergio Rodriguez. Dario Saric and Nik Stauskas each scored 12 and Saric had seven rebounds.

The Sixers, who won their first game on Friday, opened the game strong. Philadelphia shot 52 percent from the field in first quarter and took a 27-23 lead. The Sixers took advantage of nine Atlanta turnovers, which resulted in 13 points, and led by as many as six points with 1:52 left in the quarter.

Atlanta used a 14-2 run midway in the second quarter to take a 37-29 lead with 8:26 left in the half when Malcolm Delaney converted a three-point play. The Hawks twice led by 10 and stretched to 11 -- their biggest lead -- when Bazemore drained a 3-pointer with 9.9 seconds left to take a 59-48 halftime lead.

Robert Covington helped the Sixers stay close by making three 3-pointers in the third quarter, and Ersan Ilyasova made a 3-pointer with 3:49 left to trim the lead to 76-74. But Atlanta went on a 11-4 run and led 87-78 after the third quarter.

NOTES: Philadelphia rested Joel Embiid, who is still on limited minutes while recovering from surgery. He scored 25 points -- the most by a rookie in the NBA this season -- in the Sixers' first win of the season on Friday. Jahlil Okafor, also on a limited schedule, returned to the lineup after playing two minutes on Friday. ... Inactive for the Sixers were G Jerryd Bayless (left wrist soreness), F Nerlens Noel (left knee) and C Ben Simmons (foot). Inactive for Atlanta were F Tiago Splitter (right hamstring strain) and F Mike Scott (left knee). ... Philadelphia plays again Monday night at Houston. Atlanta travels to Miami to play the Heat on Tuesday.
