Raptors 116, Pistons 107: DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points and visiting Toronto held on to beat pesky Detroit and tie the franchise record for victories (47) in a season.

Kyle Lowry added 28 points and seven assists before fouling out midway through the fourth quarter for the Raptors, who clinched the Atlantic Division title on Friday night but can still catch the Chicago Bulls for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. Jonas Valanciunas finished with 18 points and eight rebounds, just missing his fourth straight double-double, and Greivis Vasquez (14 points) and Chuck Hayes (10 rebounds) paced the reserves as the Raptors matched the franchise win mark accomplished twice previously.

Greg Monroe had 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead five starters in double figures for the Pistons. Andre Drummond also posted a double-double of 14 points and 17 rebounds, Rodney Stuckey scored 18 points and Brandon Jennings had 17 points and seven assists for Detroit.

The Pistons, who close out their season Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Thunder, bounced back from a rough start to make it a game and even led by one with 7 1/2 minutes left on Monroe’s layup. DeRozan converted a three-point play on the other end and then buried a jumper after three straight misses by Detroit and the Raptors continued to ease away after the Pistons went more than three minutes without a field goal.

Toronto scored 42 points in the opening quarter, a season high for any quarter this season, while building a 42-26 lead and it appeared Detroit would go quietly in its last home game of the season. The Pistons were still down 17 early in the third quarter when Stuckey scored five straight points to spark a 12-0 run and the Raptors led 87-86 heading into the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Detroit F Josh Smith, the team’s leading scorer (16.4), missed his fourth consecutive game with knee tendinitis … Jennings shot 6-for-18 from the field and hasn’t shot 43 percent or better from the floor in any of the last 11 games. … Stuckey came in averaging 20.2 points in the last six contests.
