Marcus Thornton had 16 of his team-high 29 points in the fourth quarter as the Sacramento Kings defeated the visiting Los Angeles Clippers 105-99 Monday night.

Thornton was a one-man show in the final period as the Kings (15-43) rallied from a nine-point deficit for only their eighth win in 30 home games this season. Beno Udrih added 19 points and Omri Casspi chipped in with 15.

Blake Griffin had 27 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers (21-40), who dropped to 5-25 on the road. Griffin has 51 double-doubles on the season, second only to Orlando Magic forward Dwight Howard (55).

Trailling for most of the second half, the Kings stormed back early in the fourth, retaking the lead on seven straight points from Thornton. The advantage grew to 97-91 after Udrih and Casspi combined to score nine points in a row just past the midway point of the quarter.

Los Angeles cut the deficit to a single point on a Mo Williams 3-pointer with 49 seconds remaining, but couldn't draw even as the Kings used free throws to put the game away.

Randy Foye had 23 points in defeat while Williams added 16 in his first game with the Clippers since coming over in a trade with Cleveland last week.
