Tony Parker led the way with 27 points and six assists and Manu Ginobili added 24 and seven as the San Antonio Spurs kicked it into gear in the final minutes and skipped past the visiting Sacramento Kings, 108-103, on Friday.
Tim Duncan collected 15 points and 10 rebounds and DeJuan Blair scored 14 points off the bench for the Spurs, who have won two straight to boost their league-best record to 53-12.
Omri Casspi and Jermaine Taylor had 16 points apiece to lead seven in double figures for the Kings (15-48).
Sacramento led, 91-88, after Taylor’s basket with 5:33 left before San Antonio embarked on a 17-2 run over the next 2:14. Ginobili got it started with a 3-pointer and Duncan’s layup gave the Spurs back the lead.
Pooh Jeter would knot it again, 93-93, at the 4:33 mark, but Ginobili buried another from beyond the arc and Duncan scored four straight to stretch it back out. Ginobili capped the run when he completed a three-point play with 2:01 remaining to make it 105-93.
