Nola (8-2) threw 108 pitches, allowed just one run on four hits and no walks. He struck out 10.

Philadelphia led 5-1 through eight innings, but Colorado scored three times in the ninth before leaving the potential tying and go-ahead runs on base.

Rockies starter Jon Gray (6-7) gave up four runs on just three hits in six innings. He walked four and fanned 10.

The Rockies out-hit the Phillies 11-4, getting three hits from Tom Murphy and two apiece from Gerardo Parra and Trevor Story.

Kingery blasted a three-run home run to left-center field in the first inning for a 3-0 Phillies lead. It was Kingery's first homer since April 10 and his third of the year.

In the third, Kingery added a sacrifice fly, scoring Cesar Hernandez for a 4-0 advantage.

The Rockies finally put some pressure on Nola in the seventh with consecutive singles from Story and Parra, giving them runners on first and third with one out. Nola struck out Ian Desmond looking for his 10th of the game.

Phillies manager Gabe Kapler then called for a double switch and replaced Nola with Edubray Ramos. On Ramos' first pitch, Murphy hit a broken bat RBI single to center as the Rockies got within 4-1.

The Phillies added an insurance run in the eighth when Jesmuel Valentin ripped an RBI single to center, scoring Odubel Herrera for a 5-1 advantage.

Philadelphia reliever Luis Garcia allowed four consecutive singles to open the ninth, with Murphy's RBI hit closing the gap to 5-2. Seranthony Dominguez entered the game with the bases loaded and no outs and gave up a run-scoring single to Chris Iannetta. The Rockies then cut their deficit to 5-4 on a deep sacrifice fly by DJ LeMahieu.

Dominguez struck out Nolan Arenado looking to earn his third save of the season.
