Rockies 9, Giants 2: Corey Dickerson homered twice and Nolan Arenado slugged a three-run blast as host Colorado took two of three from San Francisco.
Christian Bergman (2-2) allowed two runs and scattered nine hits in six innings to get the win for the Rockies, who claimed the season series 10-9. Michael McKenry also homered, Josh Rutledge tripled in two runs and Justin Morneau finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored as part of a 12-hit attack.
Buster Posey stayed hot with two hits and two RBIs as the wild-card leading Giants remained two games behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West. Ryan Vogelsong (8-10) was tagged for eight runs and 10 hits in five innings as his ERA soared to 7.92 in nine career games at Coors Field.
Bergman gave up three singles but only one run on Posey's sacrifice fly in the first and Dickerson tied it with a leadoff blast in the second. Posey's RBI single in the fifth put San Francisco back on top before Arenado's 15th of the year in the bottom half put the Rockies up 4-2.
Dickerson followed with another solo shot and McKenry's blast to center in the sixth ignited a four-run outburst. Pinch hitter Kyle Parker's single chased Vogelsong and Rutledge drove in a pair moments later to open it up.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Giants OF Angel Pagan was scratched from the lineup due to back stiffness. ... Posey is 28-for-57 with 20 RBIs in his last 13 games. ... Both teams have Thursday off before San Francisco begins a series in Detroit and Colorado hosts San Diego.
