Rockies 5, Diamondbacks 4: Drew Stubbs led off the ninth inning with a home run in his only at-bat of the game and made a running catch near the wall in center to end the contest as the Rockies recorded their first three-game winning streak on the road in more than a year.

Troy Tulowitzki homered for the second straight game among his two hits and drove in a pair while Nolan Arenado had two hits and a RBI to extend his hitting streak to 19 games - the longest active streak in the majors - for Colorado. LaTroy Hawkins allowed a pair of one-out singles before earning his ninth save in nine chances.

Boone Logan (1-0) earned the victory despite allowing a solo homer to A.J. Pollock in the eighth which tied the game 4-4. Rex Brothers pitched a perfect seventh and Chris Martin - in his third major-league appearance - got out of a bases-loaded none-out jam in the sixth after starter Tyler Chatwood left with right elbow tightness.

Eric Chavez and Chris Owings each had two hits and drove in a run while Aaron Hill added an RBI for the Diamondbacks (8-22), who lost their fourth straight game and are 2-13 at Chase Field. Addison Reed (0-2) yielded Stubbs' opposite-field shot deep into the seats in right on a 2-2 pitch to take the loss.

The Rockies, who have won nine of their last 12 games, went ahead 4-3 in the sixth after Carlos Gonzalez led off with a double to right and Tulowitzki followed by driving an 0-1 pitch into the pool area in right-center for his seventh home run. Pollock crushed Logan's 0-1 pitch off the left-field foul pole with two out in the eighth.
