Dodgers 7, Mets 2: Mark Ellis went 4-for-5 with two home runs to lead visiting Los Angeles to its second straight win following a six-game slide.

Ellis forged a 2-2 tie with a solo shot in the fifth - the 100th home run of his career - and broke the deadlock with a three-run shot off reliever Brandon Lyon (1-1) with two outs in the seventh. Justin Sellers went 3-for-4 with an RBI single and a run scored for the Dodgers, who saw ace Clayton Kershaw allow two runs on three hits and four walks in five laborious innings.

New York starter Jonathon Niese was knocked out of the game with one out in the third inning when Ellis' comebacker caught him in the right leg. X-rays were negative and Niese was diagnosed with a contusion.

Ronald Belisario (1-2), one of four Los Angeles relievers to toss a scoreless inning, got the win. A.J. Ellis added a two-run double in the eighth for the Dodgers.

Daniel Murphy and David Wright had back-to-back RBI singles in the third to give the Mets a 2-1 advantage, but the hosts managed just two more hits. Mark Ellis tied it with a shot to left off Robert Carson in the fifth and later followed a single and a walk with the decisive blast off Lyon.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mark Ellis is 2-for-4 with two homers and six RBIs against Lyon. He also surpassed the 500-RBI mark for his career with the three-run shot. ... Kershaw has 10 strikeouts against eight walks in his last two starts. He had 25 strikeouts and just four free passes in his first three outings. ... Dodgers LH Ted Lilly makes his first start in almost a year opposite Mets RH Matt Harvey in Wednesday's series finale. Los Angeles announced earlier Tuesday that starter Chad Billingsley will undergo Tommy John surgery.
