Ichiro Suzuki finished a home run shy of a hitting for the cycle and Franklin Gutierrez drove in two runs as the Seattle Mariners earned a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night.

Suzuki was 3-for-3 with a walk and two runs and has seven hits in last three games. He doubled in the first and tripled in the fourth in the Mariners’ fourth consecutive win.

Brandon League (2-0) got the victory with one inning in relief of starter Ryan Rowland-Smith, who allowed two runs on four hits in six innings.

David Aardsma got his fifth save in five opportunities this season.

Casey Kotchman doubled in Milton Bradley in the seventh inning as the Mariners took a 3-2 lead.
