No. 1 Arizona 60, Stanford 57: Nick Johnson scored 16 points, including a go-ahead 3-pointer with under a minute to play, and the visiting Wildcats rallied to beat the upset-minded Cardinal.

T.J. McConnell had 11 points and eight rebounds and Brandon Ashley scored 10 points for Arizona (21-0, 8-0 Pac-12), which extended the longest winning streak in school history by holding Stanford to two field goals in the final 10 minutes. Aaron Gordon grabbed nine rebounds to help the Wildcats post their eighth straight win over Stanford.

Josh Huestis led the Cardinal (13-7, 4-4) with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Dwight Powell had 13 points and six boards while battling foul trouble. Leading scorer Chasson Randle missed 12 of his 15 shots and finished with 12 points and Stefan Nastic had 10 points and five rebounds.

Arizona managed one offensive rebound in the first half and trailed 31-30 at the break, and Stanford moved ahead by seven with just under 13 minutes to play. Ashley tied the game at 53 with 6:30 remaining before both teams went scoreless for the next three-plus minutes.

Johnson scored Arizona’s final seven points, including two free throws with five seconds left. Randle missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer and the Wildcats escaped with the win despite shooting 36 percent from the field.
