Marquette 86, Indiana-Purdue 50: Davante Gardner collected 20 points and 11 rebounds and Jamil Wilson tallied 16 points, seven boards and six assists as the Golden Eagles crushed the visiting Jaguars.

Juan Anderson scored a career-high 11 points and had five of the team's 10 steals as Marquette (6-4) snapped a two-game skid. Deonte Burton and JaJuan Johnson each added 10 points off the bench for the Golden Eagles, who shot 64.9 percent overall and 71.4 percent in the second half.

Ian Chiles poured in 21 points on 9-of-23 shooting for IUPUI (4-8), but the rest of the team shot 23.7 percent from the field and no one else scored in double figures. The Jaguars had only eight assists on 18 field goals while the Golden Eagles had assists on 28 of their 37 field goals.

Marquette never trailed, making six of its first eight shots from the floor to race to an 18-2 lead just 5 1/2 minutes in. Anderson scored all 11 of his points in the first half and Wilson put up 10 as the Golden Eagles took a 43-18 lead into the break.

Gardner heated up in the second half, scoring 12 of his 20 after the break including four straight during a 6-0 spurt that stretched the lead to 71-33. Johnson scored six straight in the midst of an 8-0 run to make it 81-38 with less than five minutes to go, and Marquette coasted from there.
