No. 4 Florida 75, South Carolina 36: Mike Rosario and Kenny Boynton scored 15 points apiece to lead the host Gators past the Gamecocks.
Boynton had a team-high seven assists and four steals for Florida (17-2, 7-0 SEC), which improved to 9-0 at home and won its 10th consecutive game for the first time since the 2008-09 season. Michael Frazier added 12 points on four 3-pointers, and seven rebounds off the bench for the Gators, who extended their win streak to nine games and have their highest ranking since their national championship season of 2007.
Michael Carrera had 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds to lead South Carolina (12-8, 2-5), which has lost five of its last seven games. Florida outrebounded South Carolina 38-24. The Gamecocks committed 17 turnovers.
Florida jumped out to a 20-4 lead on Rosario’s 3-pointer and never trailed. The Gators led 33-10 at halftime.
Florida improved to 40-22 in the series against South Carolina and 24-11 against the Gamecocks under coach Billy Donovan. The Gators have won four straight in the series and 11 of the last 14 meetings.
