After a timeout, rookie guard Donovan Mitchell missed a 20-footer from the right wing for the Jazz as time expired.
Guards Goran Dragic and Tyler Johnson scored 16 points each to lead six Miami players in double figures as the Heat (22-17) recovered from a flat third quarter to sweep the two-game season series with the Jazz (16-24) for the first time since the 2008-09 season. They won 84-74 in November in Salt Lake City.
The balanced scoring helped the Heat overcome a 27-point performance by Mitchell. Guard Rodney Hood added 17 for the Jazz, who lost for the seventh time in their last eight games.
The Heat seemed in control of the game for much of the first half but couldn't shake the Jazz to gain a comfortable margin. Then, the Jazz took over in the fourth quarter after taking a 75-74 lead after three quarters.
The Jazz fell behind 79-77 early in the fourth period before Hood scored on a pull-up jumper from 19 feet and Alec Burks hit two free throws with 9:13 remaining in the game.
The Jazz increased their lead to 91-83 with just under seven minutes left.
After a first quarter that saw six lead changes before ending with the Heat up 27-22, Miami jumped out to a 39-30 advantage before the Jazz clawed their way back to 47-47 deadlock with less than a minute left in the first half.
Center Hassan Whiteside hit a pair of free throws with two seconds left to give the Heat a 49-47 lead at the intermission.
