Rockets 99, Wizards 93: James Harden scored a game-high 31 points and Chandler Parsons added 18 points and eight rebounds as host Houston overcame a sluggish effort to snap a three-game losing streak.
Patrick Patterson scored 13, Toney Douglas added 12 and Omer Asik contributed nine points and 16 rebounds for the Rockets, who have won four straight meetings against Washington and 13 of the last 15.
Bradley Beal scored a team-high 20 points to go with six assists and Emeka Okafor added 19 points for the Wizards, who have not won consecutive games this season. Washington has lost four straight and 10 of 11 in Houston.
Harden scored 17 of the Rockets' first 27 points as Houston opened a 31-17 lead. The Wizards clawed back to tie it before Douglas' half-court heave at the buzzer gave Houston a 45-42 halftime lead.
The Rockets led from the 8:26 mark of the first quarter on, but they had a tough time putting away the Wizards until Parsons scored a layup and hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead to 96-87 with 1:07 left.
