Kevin Durant scored 29 points and the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder shut down the Miami Heatβs three All-Stars in the second half en route to a 96-85 victory Wednesday night.
Durant shot 12 of 21 from the floor and added seven rebounds and six assists in picking up his first win against LeBron James following seven losses.
Russell Westbrook scored 18 points and Serge Ibaka added 12 rebounds β six offensive - for the Thunder, who held a 17-9 advantage in offensive rebounds to win their fifth straight and split the two-game season series with Miami.
Chris Bosh had 21 points and 11 rebounds and Dwyane Wade added 21 points as the Heat had their three-game winning streak snapped. Bosh, Wade and James combined for 61 points on 21-of-59 shooting. They scored 38 points in the first half but shot just 4 of 24 in the second half.
Durant scored eight points in the third quarter, including a step-back jumper over James in the final seconds of the frame, to extend a one-point halftime edge to 67-62 entering the fourth.
James, Wade and Bosh combined to shoot 2 of 12 in the third period and missed their first five shots of the fourth, as the Thunder used an early 11-2 run to open a 78-66 bulge with 7:30 to play.
