Giants 3, Rockies 2 (10): Brandon Belt delivered an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning - after tying the game in the eighth - as San Francisco improved to 6-1 against Colorado at home this season.
With one out, Angel Pagan singled to right off Adam Ottavino (1-3) before moving to third on Marco Scutaro's hit-and-run base hit. Belt lined a 1-2 pitch the opposite way over drawn-in left fielder Charlie Culberson as the Giants handed the Rockies their sixth loss in their last seven games.
Buster Posey, who missed the previous four games because of a fractured right ring finger, homered for the Giants while Belt delivered a two-out RBI double to force extra innings. Tim Lincecum allowed two runs and seven hits in eight frames and Santiago Casilla (6-2) recorded the final out of the 10th to notch the victory.
Jhoulys Chacin, who pitched 6 2/3 hitless innings in his previous start against the Giants, allowed a run and four hits in seven frames Monday while lowering his road ERA to 2.10. Troy Tulowitzki and Yorvit Torrealba each drove in a run while DJ LeMahieu had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 11 games.
Colorado scored an unusual run in the second inning, when Torrealba hit a dribbler several feet in front of home plate. While Posey was throwing him out at first base, Nolan Arenado (two hits) alertly scored from second as Lincecum didn't cover the plate. Posey answered by homering to left in the bottom half.
GAME NOTEBOOK: LeMahieu is batting .391 during his hitting streak. ... Giants RF Hunter Pence had his streak of reaching base end at 17 games after going 0-for-4. ... San Francisco 3B Pablo Sandoval had six assists.
