Boston College 61, New Hampshire 59 (OT): Freshman guard Olivier Hanlan’s 3-pointer with 50 seconds left in overtime gave the host Eagles a 60-59 lead and they held on to beat the scrappy Wildcats.
Boston College sophomore forward Ryan Anderson’s free throw made it 61-59 with 6 seconds remaining. Anderson scored 23 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds for the Eagles (5-5). Hanlan finished with 10 points.
New Hampshire (4-6) was led by senior forward Ferg Myrick, who scored 21 points and grabbed eight rebounds to go with four assists and five steals.
New Hampshire led 31-23 at halftime but Boston College outscored the Wildcats 29-21 in the second half to force overtime.
New Hampshire junior center Chris Pelcher had 10 points and eight rebounds, and senior guard Chandler Rhoads had 10 points and six rebounds for the Wildcats.
