Kim English scored 22 points, and No. 2 Missouri held visiting Texas Tech at arm’s length throughout a 63-50 victory.

The normally hot-shooting Tigers (19-2, 6-2 Big 12) were anything but efficient on the offensive end, shooting only 39 percent from the field and 27 percent on 3-pointers.

Marcus Denmon, the Big 12’s third-leading scorer, finished with 19 points but his cold shooting continued in a four-for-15 effort.

Missouri forced 14 Texas Tech turnovers to lead 31-24 at halftime and quickly jumped out to a 45-30 lead after the break, but the Tigers struggled to put the Red Raiders (7-13, 0-8 Big 12) away.

Texas Tech hung around deep into the game and cut the lead to 57-50 when Clark Lammert banked in a 3-pointer with 2:42 remaining.

Jaye Crockett had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Ty Nurse scored 13 points off the bench for the Red Raiders, who lost by double digits for the sixth time in conference play.

No starter scored more than four points for Texas Tech.

Missouri, who was coming off a loss at Oklahoma State that will surely drop them from second in the next top 25 poll, remain in a tie for second place in the Big 12 with Baylor, which won at home against Texas.
