Chris Paul scored a season-high 27 points and had 11 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers handed the visiting Miami Heat their second straight road loss with a 95-89 overtime victory Wednesday night

Blake Griffin had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Caron Butler also scored 20 for the Clippers (5-3). DeAndre Jordan had 11 rebounds and six blocked shots.

Miami's LeBron James had 23 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists for Miami (8-3), but he also had six turnovers and was 9 of 17 from the line. Chris Bosh had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Mario Chalmers scored 18 and Dwyane Wade had 17.

The Heat failed to score from the field in the final seven minutes of regulation, but kept the Clippers at bay by making seven free throws and led 84-83 with 1:21 left. Chauncey Billups drew a foul on James from beyond the arc with 27.3 seconds remaining and sank all three free throws for an 86-84 lead.

Wade dribbled the ball of his foot but the Heat had another chance when James drew a shooting foul on Jordan. He made one of two free throws.

Less than 12 seconds later, James missed the first and made the second, forcing overtime.

The Clippers have won four in a row against Miami at Staples Center.
