Isiah Kiner-Falefa capped a career-best five-RBI performance with a bases-clearing double in the top of the 10th inning Sunday afternoon, allowing the visiting Toronto Blue Jays to defeat the Oakland Athletics 6-4 in the finale of their three-game series.

After forcing extra innings with a game-tying run in the eighth, the Blue Jays loaded the bases in the 10th when A's reliever Austin Adams (0-2), who inherited an automatic runner at second, walked Justin Turner and hit Daulton Varsho with one out.

Kiner-Falefa then drilled a shot to left-center, scoring all three runs and ultimately giving Toronto a fourth win in its last five games.

Yimi Garcia (3-0), who pitched a 1-2-3 ninth, was credited with the win. Genesis Cabrera notched his first save of the season despite allowing a run in the last of the 10th on an infield out by JJ Bleday.

After blowing an early two-run lead, the Blue Jays plated the final run of regulation when Varsho singled, was sacrificed to second by Kiner-Falefa, stole third and jogged home on a long sacrifice fly by Davis Schneider.

The A's trailed 2-0 until they rallied with one run in the sixth and two in the seventh. Brent Rooker's 13th home run of the season got Oakland on the board in the sixth, before Abraham Toro delivered a lead-flipping, two-run single in the next frame.

Oakland's scoring came after Blue Jays starter Bowden Francis was pulled following four innings of shutout ball. The fill-in starter allowed three hits and one walk with three strikeouts.

The Blue Jays had given Francis a 2-0 lead in the second when Turner doubled, George Springer singled and stole second, and Kiner-Falefa delivered them both with a two-run single.

A's starter Mitch Spence settled down after that, pitching five consecutive shutout innings as his teammates rallied into the lead. He allowed two runs and five hits in his seven innings, striking out three without issuing a walk.

Kiner-Falefa, whose previous career high in RBIs had been four, had two hits and Varsho scored twice for the Blue Jays, who improved to within one game of .500 as they head to Milwaukee for a three-game series.

Miguel Andujar collected a double and a single for the A's, who completed a 2-4 homestand with 2-1 series losses to the Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners.
