Marshawn Lynch rushed for a pair of touchdowns and the Seattle Seahawks intercepted Vince Young four times en route to a 31-14 home triumph over the reeling Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.
Lynch had a season-high 148 yards and scored from 15 and 40 yards out as Seattle (5-7) kept its razor-thin postseason hopes alive with its third win in four games. Lynch has scored in eight consecutive games.
Linebacker David Hawthorne capped the scoring with just under 4 1/2 minutes to play after taking a Young offering 77 yards the other way for a touchdown. Young was making his third straight start in place of the injured Michael Vick (ribs).
LeSean McCoy had a 1-yard scoring run and a 2-yard touchdown reception, but Philadelphia (4-8) could not stop Lynch or overcome Young's errors and fell for the fourth time in five games.
After safety Kam Chancellor intercepted Young on the Eagles' first play from scrimmage, Lynch capped a five-play drive by escaping linebacker Jamar Chaney's grasp and rumbling 15 yards for a score.
Lynch doubled the advantage on the first play of the second quarter. He made one cut before breaking outside and scampering 40 yards for his eighth touchdown of the season.
Golden Tate reeled in his second touchdown in as many games when his 11-yard reception early in the third quarter gave Seattle a 24-7 advantage.
