Ochai Agbaji scored 20 points and David McCormack finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds Monday as No. 6 Kansas downed Oklahoma State 76-62 at Lawrence, Kan.
The Jayhawks (21-4, 10-2 Big 12) remained first in the conference, one game ahead of No. 7 Baylor, while earning a 10th conference victory for the 28th consecutive season. That run began in 1995 during the Big Eight era.
Agbaji, who came in leading the Big 12 at 19.9 points per game, also posted seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Dajuan Harris added 12 points and five assists. Christian Braun chipped in 16 points, and Jalen Wilson had 11 as all five Kansas starters scored in double figures.
Oklahoma State (12-13, 5-8), which is ineligible to play in the NCAA Tournament, lost for the sixth time in eight games. The Cowboys, who fell 74-63 to Kansas in their Big 12 opener, allowed a 13-0 run by Kansas in the second half as the Jayhawks pushed their lead to 61-37.
A breakaway dunk by Braun with 10:06 remaining capped a 20-5 flurry in which Kansas piled up its biggest lead of the game at 26 points, 68-42.
Avery Anderson paced Oklahoma State with 15 points but went just 5-for-15 from the field as the Cowboys shot 39.7 percent overall. Kansas also forged a 46-39 advantage on the glass.
Kansas started 0-for-7 from 3-point range before canning four straight, including two by Harris. The Jayhawks also found McCormack inside for eight straight points. He also grabbed eight first-half rebounds as Kansas led 38-28 at the break.
Agbaji scored 11 points to pace the Jayhawks in the first half after they started 5-for-19 from the floor. Harris added eight first-half points.
Oklahoma State could not capitalize on its pesky defense and did not crack double figures until inside the midway point of the half. Anderson scored seven first-half points, but the Cowboys shot just 37.1 percent.
They came in as the worst 3-point shooting team in the league (30.2 percent) and missed on all six 3-pointers they attempted in the half before finishing 3-for-17.
