Texas A&M 74, Mississippi State 70: Alex Caruso recorded 21 points and nine rebounds to lead the host Aggies to their first SEC victory.

Danuel House added 19 points for Texas A&M (10-5, 1-2), which finished with a 32-16 edge in points in the paint. Jalen Jones scored 16 points and Kourtney Roberson chipped in with 10 for the Aggies, who shot 47.7 percent from the floor.

I.J. Ready scored 18 points to lead Mississippi State (7-9, 0-3), which matched its school record with its 16th straight conference loss. Travis Daniels finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, Roquez Johnson scored 13 points and had seven rebounds and Fred Thomas added 12 points for the Bulldogs.

Jones, who had missed the previous two games with a sprained ankle, returned to the starting lineup and had eight points in the first half as the Aggies built a 20-13 lead in the first 12 minutes. But Mississippi State went on a 7-2 run - capped by a 3-pointer by Thomas at the buzzer - to go into halftime with a 28-27 lead.

A three-point play by Jones capped a 10-0 run by the Aggies early in the second half who enjoyed a double-digit lead 43-33 after a 3-pointer by House with a little more than 14 minutes to go. A layup by Roberson gave Texas A&M a 58-48 lead with 3:12 remaining before the Bulldogs got as close as three points, but House sealed it with a pair of free throws with 7.6 seconds to go.
