Askia Booker scored 20 points, and freshman Xavier Johnson set career highs with 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Buffaloes turned in a dominant performance against the visiting Bears.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 16 points and Andre Roberson added 15 for Colorado (14-6, 4-4 Pac-12), which won its third straight game by shooting 59.6 percent and outrebounding the Bears 35-30.

Justin Cobbs had 22 points, and Allen Crabbe scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half as California (11-8, 3-4) tried to rally from a dismal first half in which the Bears fall behind 34-18 after shooting 20.6 percent.

Robert Thurman had a team-high seven rebounds for the Bears, who trailed by double digits for most of the second half, but managed to cut the lead to 65-54 when Crabbe hit back-to-back 3-pointers with 4:06 remaining.

Roberson, the nation’s leading rebounder at 11.9 per game, battled early foul trouble and finished with five boards. He was limited to three points in two minutes in the first half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Colorado improved to 41-5 at home over the last two-and-half years. …. California’s 18 first-half points are the fewest scored by the Bears in the first half this season. …Colorado has six days off until before playing at Utah on Saturday.
