North Carolina State 92, St. Bonaventure 73: C.J. Leslie scored a career-high 33 points as the Wolfpack rolled to their fifth straight victory over the visiting Bonnies.
Leslie was 10-of-13 from the field and went 13-for-18 from the free throw line. He also had eight rebounds and blocked three shots as North Carolina State (9-2) used a 17-4 first-half run to break the game open.
Leading 19-18, Leslie scored nine points in the decisive spurt as the Wolfpack took a 36-22 lead with 3:49 left in the opening half and were never threatened. Scott Wood had a season-high 23 points for N.C. State, connecting on 8 of 10 from the field, including 5 for 7 from 3-point range.
The Wolfpack also got a standout performance from point guard Lorenzo Brown, who scored seven points, handed out a season-high 11 assists, and grabbed six rebounds.
St. Bonaventure (7-4), which had won four of its last five, was led by Eric Mosley's 18 points. Youssou Ndoye added 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Bonnies.
GAME NOTEBOOK: N.C. State, which leads the nation in field goal percentage at 53 percent, shot 57.1 on Saturday and has shot better than 50 percent in nine games this season, including four in a row. ... Wolfpack leading scorer and rebounder Richard Howell did not score and had five rebounds before fouling out. ... St. Bonaventure leading scorers Chris Johnson and Demitrius Conger, who each average better than 14 points per game, were both held to seven.
