KANSAS 68, BAYLOR 54: Jeff Withey scored a career-high 25 points, Tyshawn Taylor added 19 and the No. 10 Jayhawks opened the second half with a 23-4 run to blow past the No. 6 Bears.

Kansas (19-5, 9-2 Big 12) moved into a first-place tie with No. 4 Missouri after its second rout of Baylor this season.

The Jayhawks beat the Bears 92-74 in Lawrence, making the combined margin of victory a whopping 32 points.

Thomas Robinson notched his 17th double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Kansas, which was coming off a demoralizing defeat at Missouri on Saturday.

Pierre Jackson was the lone bright spot with 16 points for Baylor (21-3, 8-3), which jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first half but couldn’t sustain the momentum.

Things looked bleak early for the Jayhawks. The trailed 24-19 when Robinson picked up his second foul with 5:26 left before halftime, but responded with a 14-6 run to go into the break ahead 33-30.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Withey, coming off a zero-point effort against Missouri, broke his career-high by halftime with 17 points. … Kansas hasn’t lost back-to-back games since the 2005-06 season. … The Bears fell to 2-17 against the Jayhawks since the Big 12 was formed in 1996.
