Kings 97, Bobcats 93: Marcus Thornton scored 18 points off the bench and DeMarcus Cousins collected 17 and 10 rebounds as Sacramento handed Charlotte its 14th consecutive home loss.
Tyreke Evans scored 16 points and Isaiah Thomas added 15 for the Kings, who have won three of four.
Ramon Sessions had 16 points, Gerald Henderson added 15 and Kemba Walker recorded 14 and 10 assists for the Bobcats, who matched a franchise record with their 14th straight home defeat. They have not won in their own building since Nov. 21.
The Kings led by as many as six points in the fourth quarter and held an 88-84 edge with 7:09 left before enduring a field-goal drought of 5:50. Sessions hit a 3-pointer to spark a 6-0 burst that put Charlotte on top, but Evans tied it with a pair of free throws and ended the field-goal slump when his layup went onto the scoreboard due to Hakim Warrick’s defensive goaltending with 1:19 to play.
Evans got free for another layup and Thomas sealed it at the line with three free throws in the final 18 seconds.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bobcats will try to avoid breaking their record for home futility when they host the Houston Rockets on Monday. … The Kings had little trouble getting into the lane and finished with 50 points in the paint to go along with an 18-of-21 effort from the free-throw line. … Walker’s 10 assists were one shy of his season high.
