76ers 106, Celtics 100:
Evan Turner collected 25 points and 11 rebounds and Jrue Holiday added 21 points and 14 assists as visiting Philadelphia exacted a small measure of revenge after being bounced by Boston in last season's Eastern Conference semifinals.

Dorrell Wright and Thaddeus Young chipped in with 15 points apiece for the 76ers, who recorded their highest scoring output of the season on the strength of some sizzling first-half shooting.

Turner had 14 points during the first half and Philadelphia shot 51 percent from the field to seize a 57-45 lead at intermission.

Paul Pierce scored a team-high 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting for Boston, which saw its modest two-game winning streak come to an end. Kevin Garnett added a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Boston's Rajon Rondo, who had a season-high 20 assists, has recorded 29 straight games with double digits in that department.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 76ers' previous high was 88 points, which was set in Monday's loss to the undefeated New York Knicks. ... Philadelphia, which was the eighth seed, was bounced in seven games by Boston last season. ...
