Travis Sanheim and Noah Cates each had a goal and an assist for the host Philadelphia Flyers, who scored five times in the third period for a 6-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

Bobby Brink, Tyson Foerster, Sean Walker and Cam York add a goal apiece for the Flyers, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Morgan Frost contributed two assists, and Philadelphia goaltender Samuel Ersson made 20 saves.

The Flyers played without Travis Konecny (upper-body injury) for the third straight game. They also were missing Jamie Drysdale, who sustained a shoulder injury on Sunday and is considered week-to-week.

Nick Paul and Steven Stamkos scored for the Lightning, who had won their previous two games. Tampa Bay goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 23 shots.

The Flyers took a 2-1 lead just 54 seconds into the third period when Foerster scored his seventh goal in seven games. Foerster went to the backhand on the short side.

Philadelphia stayed aggressive and went ahead 3-1 when Sanheim's wrist shot through traffic eluded Vasilevskiy at 3:08. Walker scored at 6:55 for a 4-1 Flyers advantage.

Vasilevskiy was pulled for an extra skater quite early at 10:52.

The Lightning closed within 4-2 at 14:34 when Stamkos pounced on a rebound and scored.

Cates scored into an empty net at 15:22 for a 5-2 advantage. York also registered an empty-net goal at 17:41.

The Flyers went ahead 1-0 at 2:22 of the first period when Brink snapped a wrist shot past Vasilevskiy.

The game was delayed briefly due to a partial power outage when some of the lights and the scoreboard went out at 6:17. After meeting with both coaches, the referees decided to resume play with diminished lighting.

Tampa Bay soon began attacking and Victor Hedman blasted consecutive slap shots just wide midway through the period.

The Lightning had a power play late in the opening period and challenged with strong shots by Hedman and Nikita Kucherov, but the Flyers were able to kill off the penalty.

The remaining lights came back on at 3:41 of the second period.

Tampa Bay equalized at 1 when Paul received a crisp pass from Brandon Hagel and fired a slap shot at 4:35 of the middle period.
