No. 6 Wisconsin 80, Prairie View A&M 43: Sam Dekker led four players in double figures with 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the host Badgers finished their non-conference schedule undefeated.
Wisconsin (13-0) scored the game’s first seven points and used an early 14-2 run to establish a double-digit advantage midway through the first half. Ben Brust hit three 3-pointers en route to 11 points, and Frank Kaminsky and Nigel Hayes each scored 10.
Montrael Scott scored 14 points to lead the Panthers (2-10). Prairie View A&M shot 32.7 percent from the field and were outrebounded 42-25.
Brust’s first 3-pointer three minutes in made it 7-0. Hayes scored five points during the decisive run, and Dekker’s jumper with 9:17 remaining in the half made it 23-6 Badgers.
Dekker and Brust combined to score the next 11 Wisconsin points, helping stake the Badgers to a 37-18 halftime lead. Brust’s third 3-pointer gave the Badgers a 42-20 advantage in the early moments of the second half.
