Illinois 74, Illinois-Chicago 60: Rayvonte Rice scored a season-high 28 points as the Fighting Illini rallied from a halftime deficit to top the Flames at the United Center in Chicago.
Tracy Abrams had 16 points while Joseph Bertrand added 14 for Illinois (11-2), which committed only four turnovers. Illinois finished 5-of-19 from 3-point range.
Kelsey Barlow scored 21 points - only three after halftime - for Illinois-Chicago (5-9), while Marc Brown added 12. The Flames won the rebound battle 33-32, led by Jordan Harks' nine.
Illinois-Chicago dominated the first half, forging a 44-34 halftime advantage behind 62.1 percent shooting from the floor, including 7-of-12 from 3-point range. The Flames had a 19-8 advantage on the glass in the first 20 minutes.
But the Illini came out a different team in the second half, scoring 19 of the first 28 points to tie the game with just over 13 minutes to play. A 12-2 run from that point - including seven points by Rice - gave Illinois the lead and it cruised the rest of the way.
