No. 23 Mississippi 93, Mississippi State 75: Marshall Henderson scored 31 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Rebels snapped a two-game losing streak with a rout of the visiting Bulldogs.
Mississippi (18-4, 7-2 SEC) shot 50.8 percent from the field for the game, leading most of the way. Murphy Holloway was 9-of-12 from the field on his way to 24 points, while Reginald Buckner had 12 and Jarvis Summers added 11 for the Rebels.
Mississippi State (7-14, 2-7) lost for the seventh straight time after opening the SEC season with two wins. It's the first time the Bulldogs have lost seven straight since 2006.
Craig Sword had 17 points to lead Mississippi State, while Jalen Steele and Fred Thomas added 15 and 13 points, respectively.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring with a hoop by Gavin Ware 18 seconds into the game, but Mississippi went on a 19-0 run. The lead was never less than 10 after that point.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Despite the loss, the Bulldogs scored their season high in points in SEC play. … The Rebels were outrebounded 38-35 but improved to 5-1 when being outrebounded by their opponent. … It doesn't get easier for Mississippi State, which travels to take on No. 2 Florida on Saturday. Mississippi next hits the road to face No. 20 Missouri on Saturday.
