Robert Brown contributed 18 points and six boards and Cadarian Raines chipped in 10 points and six rebounds for Virginia Tech (7-0), which picked up its second straight big non-conference win after beating Iowa on Tuesday.
Marcus Smart collected 18 points, 11 rebounds and six assists and Le'Bryan Nash had 18 points, four rebounds and four assists for Oklahoma State (5-1), which led 36-32 at halftime.
Eddie's 3-pointer with 15 minutes left put the Hokies up 49-46, and they never relinquished the lead.
Green, who scored Virginia Tech's first 10 points of the second half, was 12-of-13 from the foul line and has made 51 of his last 53 free throws.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Green has scored at least 20 points in all seven games this season, Virginia Tech's longest such streak to start a season since Bimbo Coles did so in the first nine games of the 1989-90 campaign. … Oklahoma State had not allowed more than 65 points in any of its previous five games. … The Hokies have won all four meetings with Oklahoma State, all over the past three seasons.
