Texas Tech 84, Jackson State 75: Jaye Crockett led four players in double digits with 20 points off the bench as the Red Raiders got by the visiting Tigers.
Crockett shot 7-for-10 and had eight rebounds and Dejan Kravic added 16 points, eight rebounds and five blocks for the Red Raiders (4-0).
Christian Williams had a game-high 22 points to lead the Tigers (0-3) and Derrell Taylor added 18 off the bench.
The Red Raiders started the second half with an 11-0 spurt to regain the lead but had to fend off several Tiger runs. Jackson State cut the lead to 60-59 on Taylor's free throws with 9:26 left but Josh Gray answered with a 3-pointer to start a 9-2 run.
The Tigers opened the game on an 11-1 run and used a 12-0 spurt for a 28-19 lead with 5:05 left in the first half. Crockett and Daylen Robinson each had two baskets down the stretch and Gray took a steal in for a layup with 11 seconds left to get within 33-30 at halftime.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Texas Tech interim coach Chris Walker is the second first-year coach in program history to start 4-0, following Pat Knight's 9-0 start in 2008-09 ... The Red Raiders started slow, making two of their first 11 shots over the first six minutes. They went 19-of-33 (57.5 percent) in the second half ... Gray tied a school record with seven steals and added 12 points to become the first Texas Tech freshman to score in double digits in his first four games since 1972.
