The Seattle Mariners continue to hit the ball over the fence, and they continued to beat up on the Los Angeles Angels with a 6-5 victory Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif.

The Mariners hit four home runs Saturday and have now hit 11 homers in the first three games of the series against the Angels, who have lost six in a row overall and all five games against Seattle this season.

Mariners center fielder Mitch Haniger set the tone almost immediately, hitting Angels starter Trevor Cahill's third pitch of the game over the fence in left field for his sixth home run of the season and the Mariners' 50th of the season, easily the most in the majors.

Edwin Encarnacion, Domingo Santana and Daniel Vogelbach also homered in the game, increasing the team total to 53. Seattle has homered in all but one of 24 games.

Cahill (1-2) gave up three of the home runs and got the loss after allowing five runs on six hits and two walks in 4 1/3 innings.

The Angels' offense, however, kept them in the game, getting 10 hits against Mariners starter Yusei Kikuchi (1-1), who went five innings and allowed four runs to get the victory. Los Angeles totaled 13 hits in the game, including three by Andrelton Simmons. However, the Angels were just 2 for 11 with runners in scoring position.

The Mariners got solo homers from Haniger and Vogelbach in the first inning for a 2-0 lead before the Angels got on the scoreboard against Kikuchi in the third. Simmons reached on an infield single and scored on a double by Albert Pujols.

For Pujols, the RBI was No. 1,992 of his career, tying Babe Ruth for fifth on the all-time list. Pujols moved ahead of Ruth with a home run in the ninth for 1,993. Next for Pujols is Lou Gehrig at No. 4 on the list with 1,995.

Dee Gordon's two-run single in the fourth increased the Mariners' lead to 4-1. It was Gordon's 1,000th career hit.

It was 6-4 in the seventh when the Angels had a chance to tie or go ahead, but Mariners reliever Zac Rosscup struck out Peter Bourjos with the bases loaded on a 2-2 pitch to end the inning.

Anthony Swarzak gave up the home run to Pujols in the ninth but managed to finish the game for his third save.
