Jacob Turner (6-11) allowed two runs over five innings, giving up four hits and three walks, and Hector Rondon worked a perfect ninth for his 29th save. Rizzo became the first left-handed hitter with 32 homers in a season for the Cubs since Rick Monday in 1976.
Mike Fiers (6-5) lost his third straight start, allowing four runs (three earned) over six innings with seven strikeouts. Jonathan Lucroy went 2-for-4 for the Brewers to finish with a .301 batting average.
Rizzo belted a 1-2 fastball from Fiers out to center in the first for a 2-0 lead. The Brewers got one back in the second, when third baseman Luis Valbuena's wild throw allowed Jean Segura to score on Martin Maldonado's bunt single, and they tied it at 2 on Elian Herrera's RBI single in the fifth.
Alcantara broke the tie in the sixth by ripping a two-run double down the right-field line, and the Cubs added some insurance in the ninth when Chris Valaika scored on Chris Coghlan's fielder's choice. The Brewers advanced only one runner past first base in the final four innings as Justin Grimm, Neil Ramirez and Pedro Strop each worked a scoreless frame to get the ball to Rondon.
