Rockies 4, Diamondbacks 2: Wilin Rosario homered and Marco Scutaro drove in three runs as visiting Colorado snapped Arizona’s five-game winning streak.
Jeff Francis (3-2) tossed six strong innings and exited after giving up Miguel Montero’s leadoff homer in the seventh. Rafael Betancourt worked around a two-out walk in the ninth for his 17th save.
The Rockies scored in the top of the first off Trevor Cahill (8-9) before Jason Kubel tied the game in the bottom half of the inning with his seventh homer in the last eight games.
Scutaro knocked in two runs in the third with a one-out double to left field, and Rosario hit a solo blast to left field in the fourth. Rosario leads all National League rookies with 16 homers and 40 RBIs.
Cahill, who has given up nine home runs in his last seven starts, allowed eight hits with six strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings.
Dexter Fowler went 3-for-4 with two runs scored for Colorado, which won for the second time in eight games. The Rockies improved to 8-1 in Francis’ last nine starts.
Montero had three of Arizona’s five hits and reached base four times, but the top five hitters in the Diamondbacks’ lineup went 1-for-19.
