Franz Wagner had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 19 Michigan to an 80-69 win at Nebraska in a Big Ten contest on Friday.
Isaiah Livers scored 17 points, Hunter Dickinson had 13 points and 15 rebounds, and Chaundee Brown came off of the bench to score 13 points for Michigan, which improved to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play.
Teddy Allen led all scorers with 25 points, Dalano Banton scored 17 points and Trey McGowens added 15 points for Nebraska (4-5, 0-2), which lost its third home game of the season.
Leading 36-34 at halftime, Michigan pulled away to begin the second half, going on a 7-1 run to take a 43-35 lead with 18:36 remaining.
Nebraska pulled within two at 43-41, but Michigan answered by going on a 10-0 run to grab a 53-41 lead with 14:49 to go.
Nebraska managed to cut its deficit to 64-60 with 6:20 left on McGowens' two free throws, but Michigan again had a response, mounting a 7-2 surge to take a 71-62 lead with 4:45 remaining on a fast-break layup from Eli Brooks.
The Wolverines then put the game away with 1:09 remaining on a three-point play by Dickinson, who pulled down an offensive rebound, was fouled as he made a layup and then made the ensuing free throw to give Michigan a 76-65 lead.
Michigan held a 43-31 rebounding advantage and went 21-of-32 (65.6 percent) on 2-point shots.
The first half went back and forth, with Nebraska taking a 19-15 lead before Michigan countered with a 14-6 run to take a 29-25 lead with 4:17 left until halftime.
Nebraska answered with a 7-0 run to take a 32-29 lead with 2:40 left in the first half, but Michigan responded with a 7-2 run to take a 36-34 lead at halftime.
