No. 6 Syracuse 70, No. 1 Louisville 68: Brandon Triche scored 23 points and the visiting Orange snapped the Cardinals' 11-game win streak.
Michael Carter-Williams overcame his early struggles - including eight turnovers - to score 11 of his 16 points in the second half for Syracuse (17-1, 5-0 Big East), which has won seven straight.
Russ Smith scored 25 points and Chane Behanan added nine points and 11 rebounds for Louisville (16-2, 4-1), which lost at home for the first time since losing to South Florida on Feb. 29.
Smith made a pair of free throws for a 68-66 lead with 1:58 left, but the Cardinals came up empty on their last four possessions and Carter-Williams had a steal and dunk to put the Orange ahead. He added a free throw and another steal to help seal it.
Neither team led by double digits at any point. Carter-Williams scored seven straight points during a 9-0 Syracuse run, including a 3-pointer that put the Orange ahead 64-62 with 5:30 left - their first lead since it was 18-16 midway through the first half.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Syracuse's most recent win against a top-ranked opponent had come against No. 1 Connecticut in 2006. … Louisville's 38 points in the first half matched the most Syracuse has allowed this season (Temple, Arkansas). … Syracuse improved to 4-0 this season when behind or tied at halftime.
