No. 13 Gonzaga 94, Baylor 87: Kevin Pangos scored 20 of his season-high 31 points in the second half and connected on 7 of 10 3-point attempts to lead the Bulldogs past the visiting Bears.
Kelly Olynyk scored 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting and Elias Harris added 17 as Gonzaga (12-1) won its third consecutive game.
Pierre Jackson tallied 26 points and six assists and Isaiah Austin added 20 points and eight rebounds for Baylor (8-4), which had a three-game winning streak halted.
Gonzaga led 38-33 at halftime, but Baylor narrowed the gap to two early in the second half. Pangos hit a 3-pointer with 12:21 left to give the Bulldogs a 62-50 lead and twice hit 3-pointers after the Bears pulled within six.
Baylor’s final surge allowed it to get within 89-82 on Austin’s basket with 1:41 to play, but Olynyk answered with a jumper and the Bulldogs were soon up by 11 with 46 seconds remaining while improving to 112-8 all-time at the McCarthey Athletic Center.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Gonzaga was 9-of-18 from 3-point range while Baylor hit 10 of 24 attempts. … Jackson has scored in double digits in 20 consecutive games dating to last season. … Gonzaga racked up 11 steals with Gary Bell Jr. and Mike Hart notching three apiece.
