Dayton (21-12), the ninth seed, led 54-37 with 12:23 left after consecutive 3-pointers by Paul Williams and Fabrizius. But top-seeded Xavier (24-7) roared back to take a 67-66 lead with 25 seconds left before having its nine-game win streak snapped.
