Astros 6, Tigers 4: Jon Singleton and L.J. Hoes had two RBIs apiece and Jose Altuve became the first player in 97 years with multiple hits and stolen bases in four straight games as host Houston took the rubber match of the series.

Altuve matched Matt Dominguez with three hits and a run scored and rookie George Springer delivered an RBI double for the Astros, who won for only the fourth time in 13 games. Scott Feldman (4-5) allowed two runs and seven hits in six-plus innings to pick up his second victory in his last 12 starts and Tony Sipp got the final four outs for his first save of the season.

Nick Castellanos had a two-run triple among his two hits and Alex Avila swatted a solo homer for Detroit, which concluded a 7-2 road trip with its second defeat in 10 games. Drew Smyly (4-7) was knocked around for four runs and eight hits in a career-low 2 1/3 innings as a starter.

Altuve, the first player since Cleveland's Ray Chapman in 1917 with at least two hits and two steals in four games in a row, set the tone in the first with a single and stolen base before scoring on Springer's double. Jesus Guzman added a run-scoring single and Hoes had a sacrifice fly to cap the inning.

Hoes answered Torii Hunter's RBI double in the third with one of his own in the bottom of the frame before Avila led off the fifth with a solo shot, ending a 28-game homerless drought. Singleton wedged a bases-loaded walk and an RBI single around Castellanos' two-run triple in the eighth for a 6-4 edge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Altuve, who is 26-for-51 in his last 12 games, set a franchise record with his sixth straight game with a stolen base and collected his 100th career double in the contest. ... Tigers 1B Miguel Cabrera was hitless in four at-bats and finished 0-for-13 in the series. ... 2B Ian Kinsler struck out as a pinch hitter in the eighth, halting his eight-game hitting streak for Detroit, which returns home to host Oakland on Tuesday. Houston opens a three-game series versus visiting Seattle on Monday.
