Braves 6, Mets 0: Mike Minor struck out a season-high 10 in 7 1/3 scoreless innings and belted his first career homer as visiting Atlanta pushed its winning streak to eight games.

Minor (6-2) permitted only three hits to win his third straight decision as the Braves sent New York to its fifth loss in a row. The left-hander also ignited the decisive five-run fifth inning with his two-run homer.

Mets starter Dillon Gee (2-6) had blanked Atlanta on two hits over four innings and retired the first two batters in the fifth before unraveling. He surrendered six consecutive hits - three for extra bases - to remain winless in four starts and was charged with five runs on eight hits in five innings.

Minor's blast off Gee broke the scoreless deadlock before Jason Heyward and Freddie Freeman sandwiched run-scoring singles around an RBI double by Justin Upton for a 5-0 lead. Freeman added his second RBI single in the seventh inning.

Earlier Saturday, Atlanta got a go-ahead RBI single from Dan Uggla in a two-run 10th inning for a 7-5 victory in the completion of Friday's rain-suspended game. Craig Kimbrel notched his 15th save in relief of Anthony Varvaro (2-0) while Brandon Lyon (1-2) took the loss.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Ruben Tejada had three hits for New York, which hasn't been 12 games under .500 at this point of the season since opening the 1993 campaign with a 14-29 mark. ... In addition to his first homer and a third-inning single, Minor collected the first RBIs of his career. He entered Saturday's game with an .074 batting average (8-for-108). ... Freeman has two RBIs in each of the first two games to give him 25 against the Mets since the start of the 2012 season, the most by any player against New York in that span.
