Jarrod Parker (9-7) survived five-plus shaky innings, yielding five runs on eight hits, as Oakland handed Cleveland its fifth consecutive loss and 14th defeat in 15 games.

Shin-Soo Choo drove in three runs and Jason Kipnis homered and had two RBIs for the Indians, who fell to a woeful 5-23 in August with one game left in the month.
Kottaras' bases-clearing double and Pennington's two-run shot made it 6-1 before Reddick hit a two-run homer in the fifth and added a sacrifice fly in the sixth for a 10-3 lead.
