Starlin Castro collected three hits and an RBI as the Chicago Cubs scored in each of the first four innings en route to a 6-3 road triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday.
Kosuke Fukudome and rookie Darwin Barney each had two runs and scored twice for Chicago, which won for just the sixth time in its last 23 road games.
Castro doubled and scored against Pittsburgh starter Kevin Correia (11-7) in the first inning, before delivering an RBI single in the fourth that gave the Cubs a 5-1 lead.
After missing his previous turn in the rotation, Chicago's Ryan Dempster (6-6) allowed three runs over five innings en route to his first win in five starts. Carlos Marmol, who blew his sixth save opportunity Friday, worked a scoreless ninth for his 19th save.
Matt Diaz had two doubles and two RBIs for the Pirates, while Correia yielded five runs in just 3 2/3 innings, snapping his three-game winning streak.
