Kings 5, Ducks 2: Slava Voynov snapped a tie at 4:46 of the third period and fellow defenseman Jake Muzzin added a power-play goal less than two minutes later as host Los Angeles ended Anaheim's six-game winning streak.
Voynov added an assist, captain Dustin Brown scored a goal and set up another and Dustin Penner netted his first of the season for the Kings, who have won four in a row and six of seven. Jeff Carter extended his goal-scoring streak with an empty-netter and Anze Kopitar collected three assists.
Andrew Cogliano and Saku Koivu scored for the Ducks, who lost for only the second time in 12 games. Viktor Fasth made 20 saves en route to his first loss in nine NHL decisions.
Voynov gave Los Angeles a 3-2 lead when he one-timed Kopitar's pass from behind the net past Fasth from the right faceoff circle. Muzzin doubled the advantage at 6:23 with a wrist shot from the top of the slot that beat Fasth high to the glove side.
After a scoreless first period, Cogliano got Anaheim on the board 13 seconds into the middle session. Penner evened the contest three minutes later by redirecting a pass from Jarret Stoll, and Koivu and Brown traded goals later in the period.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Brown had a chance for a two-goal performance with 2:23 remaining in the third period but failed to convert a penalty shot.
