Drew Brees connected with Lance Moore on a 12-yard scoring strike with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter as the visiting New Orleans Saints rallied to their fourth straight win with a 30-27 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.
After Tashard Choice's 1-yard touchdown run gave Dallas a 27-23 lead, Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams looked like he secured the win with a 47-yard reception with just over three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Safety Malcolm Jenkins alertly stripped Williams of the ball at the 11-yard line. Brees then capped the five-play, 89-yard drive which spanned just 68 seconds with a dart to Moore in the end zone.
Brees completed 23 of 39 passes for 352 yards for New Orleans (8-3), which remained hot on the heels of the division-leading Atlanta Falcons (8-2) in the ultra-competitive NFC South.
Undrafted rookie Chris Ivory scored a pair of short-yardage touchdowns and Marques Colston reeled in a team-high six receptions for 105 yards for the Saints.
David Buehler, who made a career-long 53-yard field goal earlier in the game, pushed a 59-yard field goal attempt wide left in the waning moments of the contest.
Miles Austin rushed 60 yards around the left end for a touchdown just 59 seconds into the third quarter and Marion Barber rumbled in for a 1-yard score as Dallas (3-8) saw its modest two-game winning streak come to an end.
