Jamal Cain capped a game-high 25-point performance with a dagger 3-pointer with 19.3 seconds left Saturday night, completing Marquette's comeback from an 18-point deficit in its 64-60 Big East Conference win at Georgetown.

In snapping a three-game losing streak, the Golden Eagles (6-5, 2-3 Big East) wiped out the Hoyas' 38-20 lead less than a minute into the second half. Marquette took the lead for good when D.J. Carton canned a short jumper with 1:03 remaining in the game.

Justin Lewis scored 10 for the Golden Eagles, while freshman Dawson Garcia hauled in a game-high 13 rebounds. Marquette sank 51.5 percent of its shots in the second half.

Jahvon Blair scored 20 points to lead Georgetown (3-6, 1-4), which dropped its third straight game -- all in conference play. Qudus Wahab added 13 points and 10 rebounds, dunking with 1:20 left to give the Hoyas their last lead at 60-59.

Georgetown led by 15 points with 11:10 on the clock after Chudier Bile knocked down a 3-pointer in transition. But the Hoyas were outscored 27-8 after that, enduring a scoring drought of nearly five minutes at one point as the Golden Eagles pulled off the rally.

Marquette got off to a 9-4 lead just over 4 1/2 minutes into the game on a Koby McEwen layup, but the rest of the first half was all Georgetown, all the time.

Beginning with Blair's jumper on the next possession, the Hoyas rattled off 14 consecutive points, holding the Golden Eagles scoreless for a 6:01 span. The margin reached double figures for the first time at the 7:36 mark on a 3-pointer by Jamorko Pickett.

Garcia's jumper pulled Marquette within 25-18 with 2:58 left, but Georgetown finished the half with an 11-2 burst. Blair capped a 12-point half by sticking a 3-pointer in the final minute, sending the Hoyas to the locker room with a 36-20 cushion.

Georgetown shot 45.5 percent from the field in the half, while the Golden Eagles were a miserable 8 of 31.
