Pittsburgh (12-1), which scored 17 points off 17 turnovers, also outrebounded Kennesaw State (1-11) by a 37-19 margin. Leading scorer Tray Woodall, who entered this game averaging 12.3 points, was held to just four points.
The Owls led early before Pittsburgh took control of the game with a 16-3 run. Kennesaw State failed to score over the final five minutes of the first half and trailed 30-16 by the break.
Sophomore guard Delbert Love led Kennesaw State with 12 points while Nigel Pruitt came off the bench to add 10.
